A Good Buy For You?
The Bowflex BXT116 treadmill is the most affordable model in the Bowflex lineup.
While Bowflex is more known for their Max Trainers or their Treadclimbers, they actually make some impressive home treadmills as well.

The multi-color console gives you constant feedback on your workout stats.
And you also get a handy media shelf above the console. So you can watch shows on your tablet as you walk. You can even charge your tablet using the USB port on the treadmill.

Bowflex BXT116 Treadmill – Benefits:
Multi-Color Console with Charging Media Shelf
The console on this treadmill is multi-colored and easy to read. There’s a helpful calorie-burn-rate meter that shows you exactly how many calories you’re burning at any one time – which can be very motivational.
You get constant feedback of your speed, time, incline, heart rate etc – as well as a progress bar chart, showing the intensity of your workout.
The console also has a media shelf above the console with USB charging station.
So you can attach your tablet and surf the net or watch Netflix or YouTube shows as you run – charging your tablet or phone as you go, very cool.
And for some extra challenge, there are 9 built-in workout programs that focus on things like calorie burning, time, health goals etc.
You don’t often see a 3-ply treadbelt on a home treadmill at this price point. Most models give you 1 or 2-ply belts. So it’s nice to see the quality of a 3-ply belt here. This just gives you a little extra wear protection – another bonus for runners or families.
Sync Your Workout Results
This treadmill is Bluetooth 4.0 compatible. You can also sync your workouts easily with the (Free) Bowflex results app to see how far you’ve come. You can also set new goals and create new workouts on the Bowflex app for even more challenges.
Save space in your workout area with this treadmill. It folds up with a shock-assist mechanism, making it easier on your back. You can also easily unfold the treadmill with the soft-drop feature (without having to shoulder the entire weight of the deck).
Extra Accessories Tray
There’s an extra accessories tray in the stability bar under the console on this unit. This is a handy way to stash your keys, remote, phone etc.
Comfort Tech Cushioning
This is a specialized system designed to give you a softer landing when you come down and support your foot on the push off. It’s helpful for runners or those who workout for longer periods as you have more cushioning protection than a starter treadmill.
Bowflex BXT116 Treadmill Review – Any Drawbacks?
The BXT116 is a bit more pared-down than the BXT216 model. The BXT216 has slightly higher-grade cushioning, a stronger motor and more built-in workouts, which may or may not matter to you.
The Bowflex BXT116 treadmill is a strong, stable mid-range treadmill that comes in for a great price. In a world where a lot of manufacturers are hiking their prices due to inflationary costs, Bowflex has managed to keep the price on this unit the same, which is fantastic.
Unfortunately it doesn’t have as many fancy bells and whistles as some other mid-range treadmills on the market. The money here really went into strong construction quality.
Then again, that may be just what you’re looking for.
Some people don’t want a treadmill with monthly video streaming or fancy workout programs. They just want a simple, well-made treadmill. And if that’s you, then the Bowflex BXT116 treadmill is definitely worth considering.
