Proform Pro 9000 Treadmill Review – The Pros:
Full-Color Web Browser To Surf the Net
You get the largest console that Proform makes on this treadmill: a full 10 inches across. The console is multi-color and touch-screen ready. There’s also a built-in web browser!
So you can go online and read the latest news, watch Youtube videos or catch up with your Facebook friends.
This makes it easy to have fun and entertain yourself while you’re working out, plus it’s just a lot more fun!
Strong 4.25 HP Motor
This is also one of the strongest motors that Proform makes as well. So it will hold up much better under long running workouts or multiple uses each day. This makes it a great choice for multiple-user families or runners.
Extra Large Belt
At 22 x 60 inches, this is one of the largest (and widest) belts Proform puts on their machines. This gives you extra room to stretch out and run. It’s also ideal for taller users.
Travel the World With iFit LIVE
iFit LIVE takes your treadmill online. From there you can do all sorts of wonderful things. You can download new workouts from Jillian Michaels where she coaches you through your workout. You can also track and plot your workouts over time to see how far you’ve come.
One of the coolest things to do is to map out new trails to run all over the world. iFit works with Googlemaps so that you see the actual terrain pass you by in the console screen – very cool.
Incline AND Decline
You get both 15% incline and a 3% decline for a better crosstraining workout on the Proform 9000 treadmill. This also works with the iFit LIVE and Googlemaps. So it inclines and declines to match the actual trail you’re running – very virtual reality.
The 2016 model also comes with a tablet holder above the console.
So you can use your tablet to watch movies or TV shows as you run.
It does not cover the console so you can easily watch your shows and see your workout stats at the same time!
Extra Accessories Tray Below the Console
Stash your water bottle, keys or remote control on the accessories tray between the deck posts.
It’s a small luxury but it can be a very useful one!
Free Wireless Heart Rate Monitor
A lot of people prefer the wireless heart rate monitor because it’s more accurate (and easier to use since you don’t have to keep grasping the hand sensors).
The Proform Pro 9000 treadmill comes with a free wireless heart rate monitor included.
Proform Pro 9000 Treadmill Review – the Cons:
Not A Starter Treadmill
This treadmill is not a starter treadmill and may be a bit much for the occasional walker, especially if you’re not going to use the web browser or iFit. If you’re looking for something a bit simpler, you may want to go with a simple, starter treadmill like the Proform 400.
iFit LIVE Subscription
While you don’t need to have iFit to use this treadmill, if you want to sample all of the iFit features, you’ll need an online subscription – about $99 a year. Again, you don’t need it. You can always wait and add it to the treadmill when – or if – you’re ready.
The Proform Pro 9000 is an impressive runner-friendly model that packs a lot into the under-$2000 price tag. The longer, wider belt gives you more room to stretch out.
The web browser, iPod dock, tablet holder and iFit LIVE adds loads of entertainment options to your workouts. And the incline/decline helps to add extra calorie-burning crosstraining to your routine.
Plus it’s covered by an extra-long warranty, which gives you great protection on your investment.
Where to Buy and Save
You can get the new 2016 model right now direct from the Manufacturer. You can also get Free Shipping to your home which can save you about $150.
