Proform Sport 7.0 Treadmill Review – Benefits:

Extra Long 60 Inch Belt

You have a little more room to stretch out here with the long 60 inch belt. A lot of treadmills at this price point don’t give you this much space, so it’s a nice little find on the Sport 7.0.

Built-In Tablet Holder

There’s a sturdy bracket above the console you can use for your tablet. So you can surf the net or watch movies as you run or walk. You can also link it up with iFit LIVE and watch the full-color scenes of the iFit world workouts.

It’s also nice that the tablet doesn’t cover the console window – so you don’t lose track of your workout stats.

iFit LIVE Compatible

The Proform Sport 7.0 is iFit LIVE compatible. iFit LIVE connects your treadmill to the Internet. From there you can do all sorts of fun things. You can download new workouts from Jillian Michaels where she coaches you through your workout. You can also track and plot your workouts over time to see how far you’ve come.

One of the coolest things to do is to map out new trails to run all over the world. iFit works with Googlemaps so that you see the actual terrain pass you by in the console screen – very cool.

Backlit Console

The blue backlit console is easy to read from multiple angles with scrolling message boards and easy to view stats. The console is pretty intuitive and easy to figure out, even without a manual.

iPod Dock

You can also plug in your iPod to the console and listen to your favorite tunes or audiobook through the built-in speakers. A nice touch that can make your workouts more enjoyable.

Bottom Line?

The Proform Sport 7.0 is a simple treadmill – which is exactly what you’d expect at this price point. It doesn’t have the  multi-color console or tons of workout programs found on Proform’s higher end models.

Still it has some great basics and a few extras (like a long belt, iFit option, iPod dock) backed by an excellent warranty – and you can’t beat the price. If you’re looking for a solidly built treadmill – but don’t want to pay for all the fancy extras you won’t use, this is one to consider.

Where to Buy and Save

You can get the new Proform Sport 7.0 direct from the Manufacturer. You can also get Free Shipping to your home which can save you about $150.
