Bladez T500i Treadmill Review
Pros and Cons of the Bladez T500i Treadmill:

Bladez is not as well known as some treadmill brands.
But they’re owned by BH Fitness, an international company that has been around for years.
Overall the brand has a solid reputation and they’re actually quite good at building in new technology to their treadmills that you don’t usually see in other brands.
(They were one of the first to add TV’s to some of their home treadmill models in the early 2000s).
The Bladez T500i treadmill is their higher end treadmill coming in around mid-range point. It’s built stronger than their starter models with some great specs – and a few new technology extras built in as well.

Pros of the Bladez T500i Treadmill:
iConcept Interactive Training
This is a very cool technology you can use with your Apple devices (sorry, just Apple) like your iPad tablet, iPod, iPhone etc. i.Concept lets you download compatible apps to your phone or tablet for interactive personal training and entertainment.
Here’s a video of how it works – notice you can surf the net, use game apps or even watch your workout stats on your device:
.
Side Handrail Controls
You can control your incline and speed from the side handrail controls without having to reach up to the console to do it. This may not seem like a big deal but a lot of people really like it since it’s an extra convenience.
Muscle Engagement Display
This is something we haven’t seen before and it’s pretty cool. There’s an Integrated Muscle Display showing you which muscle groups you’re engaging based on the incline and speed of the treadmill. So you can play around and work different muscle groups if you’re so inclined.
Extra Long 60 Inch Belt
The longer belt gives you extra room to move and is great for taller users and runners as they can stretch out without worrying they’ll fall off the belt.
Backlit Console With One-Touch Speed/Incline Buttons
The console is backlit and easy to read with one touch speed or incline change buttons. There’s also a console fan to keep you cool while working out. There’s also a power port to charge your phone or tablet.
iPod Dock with Speakers
You can also plug in your iPod or other MP3 Device and listen to your favorite tunes through the built-in speakers.
Cons of the Bladez T500i Treadmill:
Dual-Color Backlit Console
While the console is bright and backlit, it’s only dual color. So when you compare it to similarly priced treadmill like the Nordictrack 1750 for example that has a full color console, it falls a bit flat.
Then again, if you’re using your tablet, you may not care about this.
No Wireless Heart Rate Strap Included
The treadmill is compatible with the wireless chest strap. But the chest strap is not included with the treadmills – as it is with several other models at this price point. Again though, a minor issue.
Bottom Line?
If you like the European styling of Bladez treadmills – and you want a strong runners treadmill, the Bladez T500i may be just what you’re looking for.
You get a strong 3.5 HP motor, large deck with a quality cushioning system, covered by a solid warranty. Plus the extras on this treadmill (iConcept, tablet docking, side handrail controls) are pretty cool and can help you stay entertained while you workout.
