Nordictrack C 1650 Treadmill Review
Pros and Cons of the Nordictrack C1650 Treadmill

The Nordictrack C 1650 treadmill is new update on the older 1630 model.
And true to form, Nordictrack has added updates that improve upon the older 1630 model – like a full color console, tablet holder and stronger motor.
The 1650 itself is a bridge treadmill – a little higher end than Nordic track’s starter models, but lower-priced than their commercial-grade models.
So you get an affordable treadmill that also has some solid premium features included.

Pros of the Nordictrack C 1650 Treadmill:
Full Color Console
Unlike the older 1630 model which had a dual color console (and no web browser) seen here:
.
The 1650 treadmill carries a full color console with web browser seen here:
.
.
This makes the graphics so much better (and more enjoyable) especially when you’re using iFit LIVE programs. Plus you can also surf the net on this treadmill as well – read your emails or watch Youtube videos as you walk. This is a great way to add more fun to your workouts.
3% Decline
In addition to the 15% incline, you also get up to 3% decline. This is a great way to add some crosstraining to your workouts.
iFit LIVE
iFit LIVE connects your treadmill to the Internet. From there you can download new workouts to your treadmill (where Jillian Michaels coaches you through your workout).
iFit will also track your workout stats online – so you can set new goals and track how far you’ve come. You can also run famous world trails and watch scenery pass you by in the console screen. Plus the treadmill works with Googlemaps and Google terrain – so it inclines and declines to match the actual trail.
Extra Long Belt
The belt is a full 60 inches long, which gives you extra room to spread out and run. This is also great for taller users.
.
Tablet Holder
There’s a sturdy bracket above the console to hold your tablet.
So you can watch your favorite shows or movies as you walk.
Plus, because it doesn’t cover the console, you can surf the net or read your workout stats – while watching your tablet at the same time.
Adjustable Cushioning
You can choose what kind of a surface you want to run on with the adjustable cushioning. You can choose a softer, higher-cushioned feel for more protection – or a firmer, more road-like surface.
Cons of the Nordictrack C1650 Treadmill:
No Wireless Heart Rate Strap
While this treadmill does work with a wireless chest strap heart rate monitor, it is not included with the treadmill as it is with higher end models.
iFit LIVE Subscription
While you don’t need iFit to use this treadmill (or web browser), if you want to try out all the benefits of iFit, you’ll need an online subscription (about $99 a year).
Bottom Line?
If you’re looking for a treadmill that’s a little stronger than a starter model – but more affordable than a full-out commercial-grade model, the Nordictrack 1650 treadmill is the ideal solution.
It gives you great basics like a strong motor, tough deck and extra long belt – with some premium features like the full-color console, tablet holder, iPod dock and decline. Overall, one of the best treadmill values at this price point.
