New Model Now Out!

Nordictrack Commercial 2450

The Nordictrack 2450 is the mid-level model in the Commercial series.

These treadmills are built with tougher construction, stronger motors and more luxury options than Nordictrack’s starter models.

The Nordictrack Commercial 2450 has added a few more upgrades vs the older model – including a larger, interactive console and adjustable cushioning.

It comes with iFit Coach – so you can run trails all over the world – or take streaming fitness classes from the comfort of your home treadmill.

Other things that make this treadmill popular with runners include a super-tough 4.0 HP motor, extra long belt and 3% decline.

So is the Commercial 2450 a good buy for you? Here’s what you need to know:

Nordictrack 2450 Console

Nordictrack Commercial 2450 Treadmill Review – Benefits:

Full-Color Interactive Touch-Screen Console

The Commercial 2450 comes with a full-color, touch-screen, HD console. So you can see your workout stats in full color with a swipe of your finger.

You can also enjoy the iFit world scenery or fitness classes right from the console. Nordictrack upgraded the console this year from 10 inches to 14 inches across. So it’s much more enjoyable to watch the larger screen and gives you a more immersive experience.

Strong Construction – Great for Runners

Nordictrack put a lot into the construction on this treadmill, with a beefy 4.0 HP motor,  dynamically balanced 2.5 inch rollers (larger rollers mean less stress on the machine – so it lasts longer) and an extra wide, extra long 22 x 60 inch running belt.

They’ve also added a new WhisperQuiet design to reduce noise.

This is ideal for runners who need a machine that can take more abuse and still run smoothly.

Nordictrack 2450 with iFit Coach
iFit Coach

iFit Coach connects your treadmill to the Internet using the WiFi in your home. From there you can do all sorts of cool things.

You can run famous trails all over the world. Hike the Grand Canyon or run through the streets of Paris, watching famous landmarks pass you by for some virtual reality fun.

You can also take walking or running tours with personal trainers as they lead you through the workout, coaching you along the way.

Need some challenge? Take a streaming fitness class direct from your console – everything from HIIT training to power walking to stretching.

Here’s a quick video of iFit in action:

You can also use iFit to track your workouts over time, earn rewards and even post your results online. It’s a great way to get motivated to reach and set new goals.

And the best part?

While iFit is usually a monthly subscription service, if you get the Nordictrack 2450 through the Manufacturer here, you can get a 1-year subscription to iFit Coach. So you can try it out for the full year to see if you like it.

(You don’t need iFit to use this treadmill – it works fine without it. iFit is just an add-on option if you want it).

Extra Challenge with Incline and Decline

The Nordictrack Commercial 2450 gives you up to 15% incline and even 3% decline for extra crosstraining options. The incline/decline works with the built-in workouts (and iFit workouts) to automatically change the terrain as you run or walk.

You can also change the incline/decline manually with the one-touch buttons on the console.

Extra Long Belt

The belt is one of the largest that Nordictrack makes – a full 22 x 60 inches. This is great for runners or taller users as you can pick up the pace without hitting the edge of the treadbelt.

Adjustable Cushioning

You can turn the cushioning up on this treadmill with a knob on the belt. Or turn the cushioning down for a more road-like feel.

Bottom Line?

If you’re looking for a Commercial-Grade treadmill without spending $4000 on a health club version, you may want to consider the Nordictrack Commercial 2450.

It’s made tough and durable with a long belt, strong motor and heavy deck. Plus you also get tons of entertainment options and premium extras like the large full color interactive touch-screen, personal training with iFit and an iPod dock with speakers in the console.
