Nordictrack Commercial 2450 Treadmill Review
Pros and Cons of the NEW 2015 Nordictrack Commercial 2450 Treadmill

Secondly it has some amazing features that make your workouts a lot more enjoyable – like a large built-in TV above the console and a full-color touch screen web browser.
It also comes with iFit LIVE built-in so you can run trails all over the world while watching actual landmarks pass you by in the console screen.

Nordictrack Commercial 2450 Treadmill Review – the Pros:
#1 Full Color 15 Inch HD TV
The TV is at eye level, which means you’re not looking down, and straining your neck as you watch.
Plus it’s one of the largest TV’s you can find at a full 15 inches across.
It comes cable ready and you can also attach a DVD player to watch your favorite movies.
Because it’s is not built into the console, this reduces TV shaking when you’re running. You can easily change the channels and the volume level from your console controls.
#2 Full Color Touch-Screen Web Browser
Don’t want to watch TV? Why not go online and catch up on the latest business news or read your emails. The touch-screen web browser is full color and lets you surf the net as you walk (while still viewing your workout stats).
Of course, you can also watch TV while surfing the net if you’re into that as well.
#3 iFit LIVE Built-In
Need a third option? Use the iFit LIVE option to go online and download a new workout from Jillian Michaels where she coaches you through your workout through the console speakers.
Or choose to run a famous world trail (like Paris or Hawaii) while watching landmarks pass you by in the console screen. You can also track your fitness progress using iFit to set new goals and see how far you’ve come.
If you’re feeling extra adventurous, why not use Googlemaps to draw out a new trail anywhere in the world? You’ll then be take to that trail and watch actual scenery pass by as you explore!
#4 Incline and Decline
The Nordictrack Commercial 2450 gives you up to 15% incline and even 3% decline for extra crosstraining options. The incline/decline works with the built-in workouts (and iFit workouts) to automatically change the terrain as you run or walk.
You can also change the incline/decline manually with the one-touch buttons on the console.
#5 Extra Long Belt
The belt is one of the largest that Nordictrack makes – a full 22 x 60 inches. This is great for runners or taller users as you can pick up the pace without hitting the edge of the treadbelt.
#6 Super Tough 4.0 HP Motor
You also get a super-strong 4.0 Continuous Duty Horsepower motor. This again is great for runners or extra long workouts. The motor will keep up with you easily without straining.
#7 Free Wireless Heart Rate Monitor
The Commercial 2450 also gives you a free wireless heart rate monitor. A lot of people prefer the wireless monitor as it tends to be more accurate than the hand grip sensors. It’s also a lot more convenient since you don’t have to continually grasp the handrails.
Nordictrack 2450 Treadmill Review – the Cons:
#1 iFit LIVE Subscription Extra
While you don’t need to have iFit LIVE to use this treadmill (or the TV or the web browser), if you want to try the iFit program out, you’ll need an online subscription (around $99 a year).
#2 Medium Web Browser
While this isn’t really a con, some people prefer the larger sized 10 inch web browser on the next model up – the Nordictrack 2950 treadmill.
#3 Ultra-Heavy Machine
While this is great for stability, the 2450 is a monster-heavy machine. It can be very heavy to move and while it folds up, you really don’t want to plan on folding it up and wheeling it away like you can do with some treadmills.
Bottom Line?
If you’re looking for a Commercial-Grade TV treadmill (without spending $4000 on a health club version), you really can’t go wrong with the Nordictrack 2450.
It’s made tough and durable with a long belt, strong motor and heavy deck. Plus you also get tons of entertainment options and features that will continually challenge you to grow in your fitness goals.
