Nordictrack EXP 10i Treadmill Review – Pros and Cons of the EXP10i
If you’re looking for an affordable mid-range treadmill with some fun perks, you may want to check out the Nordictrack EXP 10i Treadmill.
It’s new this year and carries an extra-long belt, full-color touch screen and even adjustable cushioning.
You can connect with iFit – Nordictrack’s online streaming service – and run trails all over the world, or even take live fitness classes from your home.
Plus the EXP 10i treadmill comes with both incline and up to 3% decline.
The decline isn’t usually found on a mid-range treadmill and it’s a great way to add some crosstraining to your workout.

Nordictrack EXP 10i Review – Benefits:
Full-Color, HD, Touch Screen
The Nordictrack EXP10i treadmill gives you an impressive touch-screen, HD, full-color console. So you can see your workout statistics in full color as you run.
At 10-inches across it’s also larger than the Nordictrack EXP 7i model and much more enjoyable to watch.
You can also connect directly to iFit Coach through the screen and run all over the world – from Paris to Hawaii to the Amalfi Coast – enjoying the scenery through your console as you run.
You can also try a studio fitness class from your console if you need extra challenge (more on iFit benefits below).
The console also comes with one-touch speed and incline buttons for fast, on-the-fly changes. And there’s a dual-speed fan to keep you cool.
Room to Stretch Out
Runners will appreciate the extra room to move with the 60-inch long belt. You can pick up your pace and not feel like you’re bumping against the edge of the treadmill.
Explore the World With iFit
iFit Coach connects your treadmill to the Internet. From there you can do all sorts of cool things.
You can run famous trails all over the world. Take a walking tour of Florence or explore the Pyramids of Egypt. Run the streets of Paris or along the shores of Hawaii.
You can run alone – or take guided tours with personal trainers as they lead you through the workout, coaching you along the way.
There’s also a huge library of in-studio fitness classes to try – from treadmill workouts to yoga, stretching, HIIT training and more.
Want a bit more excitement? Take a live fitness class with your favorite trainer!
You can workout at home at the same time as your friends and even text the trainer any questions you have after the class!
While iFit is usually a monthly subscription service, if you get the Nordictrack EXP10i through the manufacturer, you can get a Full Subscription to iFit Coach included for a short time. So you can try it out first to see if you like it.
(You don’t need iFit to use this treadmill – it works without it. iFit is just an add-on option if you want it).

Add Challenge with Incline AND Decline
Add some high calorie-burning intervals with up to 12% incline.
You also get up to 3% decline on this treadmill for added crosstraining.
Plus, if you’re running a world trail with iFit the treadmill will automatically incline and decline to match the actual terrain. This is a very cool feature that gives you a more realistic training experience.
While it’s not the highest incline you can find on a Nordictrack treadmill, it’s still pretty good for this price point.
The Nordictrack EXP10i treadmill also gives you adjustable cushioning. Turn the cushioning up for more joint, hip and knee protection. Or turn it down for a more road-like feel.
Nordictrack EXP10i Review – Any Drawbacks?
The EXP 10i treadmill comes with a lot of perks – but there are a few small drawbacks.
The incline is not as high as some of Nordictrack’s Commercial models (like the Commercial 1750 which gives you up to 15% incline).
Also, while you can try iFit out for a short time, it is a monthly subscription service. So you’ll have to decide if you want to keep using it or not. You don’t need iFit to use this treadmill (and there is a free iFit version with a few built-in workouts you can use). But it’s something to keep in mind.
These days with inflation creeping up, it can be hard to find a mid-range treadmill for under $1500. That’s why it’s so nice to see the Nordictrack EXP 10i treadmill coming out.
You get a strong 3.5 CHP motor and a longer 60-inch belt so you can stretch out and run.
Plus the console is larger than the EXP7i treadmill model – which makes it a lot more fun to watch iFit world trails or classes.
While it lacks some of the heavy-duty construction quality of Nordictrack’s Commercial models, you really can’t argue at this price. Overall a great value.
