Nordictrack 6.5 Si Treadmill

Looking for a good budget treadmill from a respected name?

If so, you might be interested in the new Nordictrack T6.5 treadmill.

It was introduced this year, replacing the older C700 model.

One of the best things about this treadmill?

A full-color, HD, touch-screen console!

So you can see your workout stats in full color – or run famous world trails with iFit and watch the scenery pass you by in the console screen.

The treadmill also folds up to save space and gives you adjustable cushioning for more joint protection if you want it.

So is it the right choice for you?

Nordictrack T6.5 Treadmill Review – Benefits:

Large, Full-Color Touch Screen

You get a large 10-inch, full-color, HD touch screen in the console of this treadmill. This size and standard of console is pretty much unheard-of for a treadmill at this price point.

It’s pretty cool – you can see your workout stats with a swipe of your finger.

Or connect with iFit Coach and run trails anywhere in the world – enjoying the scenery in the console as you run (more on iFit Coach below).

There’s also an mp3 port for your phone and built-in console speakers. So you can plug in your phone and play your favorite workout tunes through the console speakers.

Another plus? Stay cool with the dual-speed cooling fan during those extra-long workouts.

Explore the World With iFit

iFit Coach connects your treadmill to the Internet. From there you can do all sorts of fun things. You can run famous trails all over the world.

Hike the Grand Canyon or run through the streets of Paris, watching famous landmarks pass you by in the console screen for some virtual reality fun.

You can choose to run solo – or take a tour with a personal trainer who coaches you throughout the workout, pointing out interesting landmarks along the way.

Another cool thing you can do?

Take a high-energy fitness class right from your treadmill!

You can choose from a huge variety of different workouts – from beginner walking workouts to more intense HIIT training workouts.

These will always give you new workouts to try and new ways to challenge yourself.

You can also use iFit Coach to help you set and reach new fitness goals. iFit can track your workouts for you and even send you personalized workouts to your treadmill based on your fitness goals.

The best part?

While iFit is usually a monthly subscription service, if you get the Nordictrack T6.5 Si treadmill through the Manufacturer here, you can get a 1-year subscription to iFit Coach included. So you can try it out for the full year to see if you like it.

(You don’t need iFit to use this treadmill – it works fine without it. iFit is just an add-on option if you want it).

Folding with Easy Lift

This treadmill also folds up to save space in your home. And there’s a shock-assisted lift to make it easier to fold and unfold the deck to save the strain on your back.

Adjustable Cushioning

This treadmill comes with adjustable cushioning. You can turn the dampeners up or down depending on what kind of cushioning you want.

Turn it on for more cushioning protection. Or for more of a “road” feel, you can turn it off which locks out cushioning dampeners for a firmer surface feel.

10% Incline Match Technology

You get from 0 – 10% incline on this treadmill – which is pretty standard for a starter model. However the cool thing is that the treadmill will also match the terrain of whatever world trail you’re running. So it will incline and decline based on the actual terrain – for a more realistic training experience.

Nordictrack T6.5SI Treadmill – Drawbacks?

This is a starter treadmill – so it doesn’t have the kind of motor power or construction that you find on Nordictrack’s higher end models like the Commercial 1750 for instance.

The belt at 55″ is a bit on the smaller side. And the incline is limited to 10%. Still, for walkers or occasional exercisers, it should be fine.

Bottom Line?

If you’re looking for a well-built, solid treadmill for under $1000, the Nordictrack T6.5 Si treadmill proves you don’t have to slum it with a poor quality machine.

You get all the basics you need for a decent workout – including a respectable 2.6 HP motor and up to 10% incline. Plus with iFit Coach you can take your training to the next level and run trails all over the world.

While runners and multi-user families may need something a bit stronger, walkers should be fine with this treadmill.
