Nordictrack Treadmill With Desk Review
Is the Nordictrack Treadmill Desk A Good Fit For You?

If you read my post on trends in the treadmill industry this year, you may recall that one of the strongest trends is the move towards desk treadmills.
These are treadmills with built-in workspaces. So you can walk while you work – and stop that inevitable weight gain that comes from sitting for hours at your workdesk.
It’s really healthy to add some slow walking to your workday – and you get more work done during your workout time – great for multi-taskers.
In keeping with this trend, Nordictrack has just come out with their own treadmill desk:
Is it right for you? Here’s what you need to know:
The Basics:
Price: $1999 + Free Shipping
Motor: 3.0 HP
Incline: 10%
Speed: 0 – 10 MPH
Belt: 20 x 55″
User Weight Capacity: 350 lbs
Warranty: Lifetime Frame & Motor, 1 Year Parts and Labor
Benefits of the NordicTrack Treadmill Desk:
Large Desk Space to Work:
The treadmill comes with a 38-inch by 21-inch work surface that can easily hold a laptop and a few documents/papers to the side. It also easily adjusts up and down to suit the walker’s height (a great option if there are different users since everyone can adjust it to suit their height).
I also like that it gives you a constant side display that you can use, even while using the desk.
Run or Walk – Work or Just Workout
Unlike other desk treadmills which usually have capped speed limits (and can only be used for walking), the Nordictrack desk treadmill can also be used for running.
It gives you speeds of up to 10 MPH. So you can walk while you work – or blow off that laptop and just use this as a regular treadmill for running.
iFit LIVE Compatible
The desk treadmill is iFit LIVE compatible so you can go online and download new workouts from Jillian Michaels, track your workout progress over time and map out new trails to run using Googlemaps.
This is another option you don’t find on other desk treadmills so again, it’s nice to find here as this feature makes it more of a fun treadmill than a boring workstation.
Incline
You can also build in incline training intervals for some workout challenge. While a lot of non-desk treadmill offer incline, many desk treadmill workstations don’t give you an incline option.
Double Duty As A Desk
Another thing that sets this treadmill apart from other desk treadmills is that you can fold up the treadmill and use the desk as a, well, desk. Just pull up a chair and keep working:
So this is a really versatile machine.
Reflex Deck Cushioning System
This is one of Nordictrack’s best cushioning decks that is made out of the same materials as professional snowboards use. It absorbs the impact of your step and returns energy to your stride, which helps to reduce fatigue.
In fact, I had one Nordictrack employee tell me years ago that Reflex deck treadmills are the units that all of the top Nordictrack CEOs choose for their home treadmills, it’s that good.
Bottom Line:
If you’re looking for a treadmill desk that can be used as a workstation – and as a regular treadmill complete with incline, high speed limits and workout programs, this one of your best options.
While you do sacrifice a bit on the console size (vs. a regular treadmill), if you’re looking for a great 2 – in – 1 option (treadmill and workstation), you’ll love this unit.
Where To Buy and Save:
While the treadmill desk is new to the market and hard to find in stores, you can get it here. Plus you’ll also get Free Shipping which can save you about $150..
