Nordictrack X11i Review – What To Know Before You Buy!
Is It A Good Choice For You?

The Nordictrack x11i incline trainer is the “premium” model in Nordictrack’s incline trainer series.
It has all of the popular features of the X9i – but moves up to a sleeker console, stronger motor and longer warranty. So it can take a bit more use and abuse than the X9.
Is it a good value for you? Here’s some of the pros and cons to help you decide:

Nordictrack X11i Review: The Pros:
Upgraded 4.25 HP Motor
The X11 comes with a beefed-up motor which gives you a lot more power than the x9 or x7 trainers.
This makes it perfect for those extra-long runs or multiple user households.
You can really work this trainer and you won’t feel like the motor is straining to keep up with you. Plus it’s covered by a lifetime motor warranty to protect your investment.
40% Incline and 6% Decline
You can burn 5 Times the calories on the 40% incline as walking on a flat plane. Plus the X11 also comes with a 6% decline to add even more crosstraining in.
Extra Wide 22″ Running Belt
The X11 steps up from the X9 and adds in an extra wide 22″ belt. Along with the extra length (62″), you get a ton of room to move on this trainer. Even if you’re taller or have long legs, you’ll never worry about coming close to the edge of the belt.
10″ Full Color Web Browser
Surf the Net while you walk with the web browser built into the console. You can read emails, catch up on the latest business news or watch Youtube videos – a great way to make your workout time fly by. This is also the largest console browser that Nordictrack makes, which gives you that extra little luxury.
iFit LIVE Built-In
You can do so much with iFit, it’s incredible. iFit connects your treadmill to the Internet.
From there you can download new workouts to your treadmill from Jillian Michaels where she coaches you through your workout. You can also sync and track your workout stats over time.
And one of the best things you can do with iFit? Map out new trails using Googlemaps.
So whether you want to stroll down the Champs Elysee or run through Central Park, you can do it with this incline trainer. You get to see the local landmarks pass you by as you walk. Plus, the treadmill inclines and declines to match the actual terrain – very cool.
HD Video Workouts
With iFit you can also get several HD video workouts of famous trails. For example, you can run along the shores of Hawaii while you get tips and information on the famous landmarks passing you by in the console screen.
Reflex Deck Cushioning
Get better protection for your joints with this cushioning. Reflex deck cushioning uses the same materials they use in professional snowboards.
It absorbs impact when your heel hits the belt and then gives you a firmer push-off. This helps return energy to your stride and can keep you running longer and further without fatiguing.
Best Warranty in the Business
The Nordictrack X11i carries the best warranty in the business – for both incline trainers or treadmills. To get 3 years on labor is unheard of.
And the deck, frame and motor are covered for a lifetime. Basically, this tells you how well this incline trainer is built – Nordictrack isn’t expecting to have to service it, ever.
Built-in Tablet Holder
You can attach your tablet to the top of the console and watch your movies or shows as you watch. The tablet sits at eye level to make it more comfortable and reduce eye strain. Plus, because it doesn’t cover the console – you can surf the net, see your stats AND watch your tablet.
Nordictrack X11i Review – The Cons
There’s very little wrong with this treadmill/incline trainer. If however, you’re only planning to walk occasionally, you probably don’t need all the extras here – and could probably save a bit and go with the Nordictrack X9.
Also, be aware that you will need a subscription to iFit LiVE (about $99 a year). However you don’t actually need iFit to use this incline trainer – you can wait and try it later if that works better for you.
Bottom Line?
If you’re looking for the cream of the crop for incline trainers, the X11i is it. It’s built to be a lot tougher than other models – so it can take a lot of use (and abuse). It’s also ideal for multi-user families or long, frequent workouts.
Plus you get every entertainment option in the book from 44 built-in workouts to iPod docks to cooling fans to iFit LIVE to HD video workouts and a built-in web browser. It just doesn’t get better than this.
