Proform 2000 Treadmill Review – Newly Updated
Is the Proform Pro 2000 Still a Good Buy?
The Proform 2000 treadmill is one of Proform’s most popular models and gets a lot of attention.
It even earned a “Best Buy” recommendation a few years ago from a leading consumer magazine.
Not surprising as it offers two things – both a great price (under $1500) and some strong, solid construction.
You get a hefty 3.5 HP motor that will power you through walking or running workouts – along with a high 15% incline and long 60-inch running belt.
Proform also updated the treadmill this year with a new, full-color HD, touch-screen console with iFit.
So you can run trails all over the world or take a fitness class from your console.
Is it still a good value? How does the Proform 2000 treadmill measure up?

Proform Pro 2000 Treadmill Review – Benefits:
Large Running Deck
The Proform Pro 2000 has an extra long 60 inch and extra wide 22 inch running deck.
This is one of the largest running areas Proform makes and it’s a bit surprising to find it on a mid-level model. You get more room to move and won’t feel like you’re on the edge of the belt.
Decline and Incline
The treadmill gives you 15% incline and 3% decline. The decline option is a great way to challenge your body and built some extra crosstraining intervals into your workout.
Full Color, HD Console
Proform updated the Proform 2000 treadmill console this year from this console:
to this console:

As you can see, it’s a big improvement. The new console is full-color, HD and touch-screen sensitive. So you can see your workout stats with a swipe of your finger.
Or connect to iFit Coach and run trails all over the world from some virtual reality fun.

Interactive Training with iFit Coach
iFit Coach is a streaming service that you can use to run trails all over the world – or even take a fitness class right from your treadmill console.
You connect through the console and then choose from a massive library of workouts. You can run famous world trails like the Great Wall of China or the hills of the Grand Canyon.
You can also take a fitness class – everything from beginner walking to high-calorie HIIT training.
You can also use iFit Coach to track your workouts over time or set new fitness goals. iFit can even send personalized workout to your treadmill based on your fitness goals.

So there’s a lot of room to grow with this option.
The best part?
While iFit Coach is usually a monthly service, if you get the Proform Pro 2000 through the Manufacturer you can currently get a Free 1-year membership to iFit Coach included. So you can try it out for the full year to see if you like it.
Note: You don’t need iFit Coach to use this treadmill – it works fine without it. iFit Coach is an add-on option if you want it.

Runner-Friendly Construction
The construction on this treadmill is much better than Proform’s starter treadmills. The 3.5 HP motor can keep up to the demands of runners. It can also easily support the extra-long 60-inch belt.
The treadmill is also made with larger 2.5 inch rollers – which helps to reduce static and prolong the life of your treadmill.
Added Accessories Tray
There’s an added train below the console to store your keys, remote, or rolled-up magazines. This may seem like a small thing – but it’s extremely handy during long workouts.
Proform 2000 Pro Treadmill Review – Any Drawbacks?
Smaller Console
The console window on this unit is 7-inches across – which is fine. But it’s still slightly smaller than the other Pro 5000 and 9000 treadmills which have a larger 10-inch console.
No Wireless Heart Rate Monitor Included
While the treadmill will work with a wireless heart rate monitor, you don’t get one included with this model.
Bottom Line?
The Proform Pro 2000 treadmill is a runner-friendly, mid-range treadmill that marries strong construction with some fun entertainment perks.
While it doesn’t have some of the bells and whistles of the higher-end Pro models, it gives you a lot of value for a small price tag.
Also impressive is the fact that Proform has continually updated this treadmill – but managed to keep the price the same. That in itself makes the Proform 2000 treadmill a fantastic buy in today’s market.
