Proform Thinline Treadmill Desk Review
How Does the Proform Thinline Desk Treadmill Measure Up?

Treadmills with built-in desks give you the added benefit of a workspace while you walk.
Desk treadmills used to be very expensive and hard to find – but Proform has recently introduced their Thinline desk treadmill which means they’re becoming more mainstream.
The great thing about this treadmill is that (unlike other treadmill workstations) you can use this one as both a desk – or fold up the desk part and use it as a regular treadmill.
You get a lot of the Proform “perks” too like iFit LIVE, incline and 34 built-in workouts.
So is it a good buy for you? Here’s a rundown of what you should know:
The Basics:
Price: $1999 + Free Shipping
Motor: 2.75 HP
Incline: 12%
Belt: 22 x 60″
User Weight Capacity: 300 lbs
Built-In Workouts: 34
Warranty: Lifetime Frame & Motor Warranty, 5-Year Parts & Electronics Warranty, 2-Year Labor Warranty
Benefits of the 2014 Proform Thinline Desk Treadmill:
Can Be Used As A Treadmill Or As A Workstation
You have the flexibility to use this machine as a regular treadmill with full console or as a workstation. Just fold the top console down and use it as a workspace (and still have side handrail controls to set your speed and incline).
Or lift the console up and see your workout stats to use it as a standard treadmill (for running workouts for example.)
It also integrates with your tablet whether the console is folded down in desk mode – or folded up in regular mode.
Super-Thin Folded Up
The “thinline” in this treadmill means that it folds up super thin and compact. The treadmill actually folds up with a 12-inch width at its thinnest.
This is really handy for example if you have a home office with limited space and you want to be able to fold the treadmill up out of the way when done.
iFit LIVE
You get all the fun benefits from iFit LIVE on this treadmill.
With iFit LIVE you can connect your treadmill to the Internet and run trails all over the world using Googlemaps or download new workouts from celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels.
You can also compete against Facebook friends or track your workout activity online.
Plus the iFit LIVE comes included – so you don’t need to buy an extra module (but you will have to spring for the yearly subscription online which is about $99 a year).
Incline AND Decline
Most other desk treadmills do not even come with incline – but the Proform Thinline gives you both 12% incline AND 3% decline for added crosstraining.
Fully Assembled in Box
Don’t want to spend hours putting a treadmill together? No problem. The Thinline treadmill comes pretty much fully assembled already.
You do have to attach the base brace but that’s it – there’s no complicated wiring or belt adjustments.
Bottom Line?
If you’re looking for the flexibility of a treadmill that also acts as a workstation, the Proform Thinline Desk treadmill is worth considering. It’s well built and sturdy with a high power motor and extra long belt.
Plus the desk space option is great if you want to work on your computer as you walk. While the desk space isn’t the largest out there (if you want a larger desk space treadmill, check out the Nordictrack treadmill desk here), it should be fine for a laptop or sheet of papers.
Where to Buy and Save
You can get the new 2014 model right now direct from the Manufacturer. You can also get Free Shipping to your home which can save you about $150.
