Running Tips For Treadmill Users

Running on A TreadmillIf you’re buying a treadmill for running, this video won’t necessarily help you choose the best option – but it will help you with your running techniques and form.

You’ll learn how to avoid injury and get more out of your running treadmill workout.

The video is short and easy to watch. Plus, I think it makes some great points about the differences between running outside and running on a treadmill. You’ll see why running on a treadmill is actually less stressful on your joints (and in my opinion the better choice).

If you’re looking for buying recommendations,  you may want to consider the Nordictrack Commercial 1750, the Sole F85 or the Lifespan TR4000i

Keep in mind that runners need a lot more from their treadmills – because they take much more of a pounding than walking. So you want to make sure you have a treadmill with a long belt (58 inches or more for those long strides) and excellent cushioning (to give you added joint protection).

It also helps to have a built-in fan because you’ll sweat more as well as a quick-emergency stop key since runners are more prone to tripping than walkers. Good luck and keep fit!
