Yowza Sebring

The Yowza Sebring is one of their “Transformer” treadmill models.

Basically it folds up more compact (thinner) than other treadmills because there is no subframe.

The Sebring also gives you the Intelligent Weight Management system to help you seamlessly tailor your workout to meet your weight loss goals.

Other highlights include a bright backlit console and iPod dock with speakers.

Yowza Sebring Review – the Pros:

Intelligent Weight Management System

This is a very cool tool that helps you maintain your target weight.

The wireless scale (included free with this treadmill) detects minute changes in your weight.

It then relays new workout instructions to your treadmill, changing your daily workout to help you burn off any extra calories you have had the day before.

So if you want an easy way to maintain your weight (without expensive diets or personal trainers), this is a great way to do it.

Here’s a video of how it works (although this is not the Sebring treadmill in the video):

#2 Folds Up More Compact

The Sebring treadmill is also part of Yowza’s Transformer treadmills – it was designed without a sub-frame to fold up slimmer than other folding treadmills.

This makes it ideal for people looking to save space or to pack their treadmill away in tight spaces (like under a bed.).

However unlike some other compact treadmills on the market, the Sebring was designed to still be extra sturdy and stable when in use.

#3 Swing Arm Cushioning

A final highlight is the Swing arm cushioning on this treadmill which can absorb up to 63% more impact than standard treadmill cushioning systems. This is great if you’re a runner or prone to shin splints.

Yowza Sebring Review – the Cons

#1 Marketing is Confusing

The marketing on this treadmill is confusing. From the Yowza website: “This amazing space-saving treadmill can morph into a powerful, non-folding style running machine”

So it’s non-folding – but it’s folding?

Basically what we think they’re trying to say is that the treadmill is just as stable as a non-folding treadmill. But the marketing on this treadmill does need work.

#2 Short Belt

The belt is only 55 inches long. Most treadmills at this price point give you up to 60 inches – so runners may find it a bit short.

#3 No Cup Holders

This is a little thing – but there are no cup holders on the console.

Bottom Line?

If you’re looking for a stable treadmill that folds up extra slim, the Sebring might be worth considering. It gives you decent cushioning and basics. And the Intelligent Weight Management System is something you don’t find with other brands.

You may however want to compare this treadmill to similarly priced treadmills before buying – like the Nordictrack C990 or the Proform Pro 2000. These treadmills give you a bit more in terms of belt size and motor – so it really depends on what you’re looking for.
